American Financial Group Terminates Deal to Sell Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina

American Financial Group, Inc. Announces Termination of Agreements to Sell Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)—American Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: AFG) announced that the previously disclosed agreements to sell Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, a premier waterfront property in Charleston, South Carolina, have been terminated as of June 6, 2025.

The agreements involved the sale of the resort’s hotel, marina, and related assets through a wholly owned AFG subsidiary. The company will continue to explore strategic alternatives for the property.

Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina features two full-service hotels, a 459-slip marina, a waterfront restaurant, a retail store, and a variety of upscale resort amenities. AFG acquired the property in 2002 and has since invested in significant upgrades, including the development of The Beach Club, a luxury waterfront resort.
