The beachside resident of Berawa, bordering the lively hubs of Canggu and Seminyak, has a busy holiday period ahead with a series of special events to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve.Well known for its spectacular sunsets Café del Mar is beloved by people around the world for its masterfully curated Balearic Chill House music compilations. As the birthplace of the longest running and most successful series in music history, Café del Mar will be setting the benchmark for international guest DJ line-ups this year and curating exclusive menus to match.
Christmas is set to be a true feast for the senses as the newly launched premium restaurant plans to elevate the occasion with decadent dishes served to share in style. Prawn-stuffed barramundi and roast chicken with black garlic stuffing and hasselback potatoes will be followed by a festive parade of custard tarts garnished with Christmas spices, and traditional pavlova with a charcoal and mango twist. All set against the luxe backdrop of Café del Mar’s enviable waterfront location.
The arrival of New Year's Eve will similarly introduce another set menu; this time involving the likes of a slipper lobster, crab and squid ink ravioli, topped with green apple and radish, followed by a tiramisu bombe alaska.
After the party comes the after party and Café del Mar’s 48 hour celebration will see three of the world’s top DJs entertain guests across New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. King of the remix and Grammy award-winning icon of the legendary house music scene DJ DAVID MORALES will be kicking off the evening in a one off, not to be missed, sunset set. DIMITRI FROM PARIS will take the stage and light up the dance floor from the midnight countdown with his trademark smooth grooves and feel good beats ushering in the next decade.
On New Year’s Day, recover from the night before with a special musical set from Bristol native EATS EVERYTHING, considered one of the UK’s finest dance music exports.
