Institute of Hospitality Appoints Michael Clitheroe to Board of Trustees


The Institute of Hospitality has announced the appointment of Michael Clitheroe FIH CMgr MCMI to its Board of Trustees, marking a significant step in strengthening leadership as the organisation continues its global expansion.

Clitheroe will serve a three-year term from 2026 to 2029, bringing over 27 years of industry experience and a strong track record in professional development and leadership.

A Fellow of the Institute, Clitheroe joins the Board at a pivotal moment as the organisation advances its ambition to achieve Chartered Status—a milestone that would further elevate professional standards across the global hospitality sector.

Reflecting on his appointment, Clitheroe emphasised the importance of professionalism and education in shaping the industry:
