THE WESTIN RESORT NUSA DUA, BALI APPOINTS MS. SARASWATI SUBADIA
AS DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia, February 2019… The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Ms. Saraswati Subadia as Director of Sales & Marketing. She is moving into this leading role after successfully working in a parallel capacity for the past year as Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing.

Saraswati first joined the resort in 2013 when she assumed the position as Director of Sales MICE. It was a role that enabled her to draw on a wealth of professional expertise, specifically in Bali’s lucrative MICE sector. She came on board just after Bali International Convention Centre had completed an extensive revitalization project and she was instrumental in positioning it as a world-class venue. Over the ensuing years, Saraswati has been significantly involved in securing a number of prestigious events and global conferences including recent prestigious event, Annual Meetings 2018.

Balinese born and bred, Saraswati graduated top of her Tourism Management class at the island’s renowned STP (tourism institute). She then immediately embarked on a career within the hospitality industry working as a Guest Relations Officer and then as an Assistant Tourism Advisor for a division of the World Bank.

Upon joining Tour East travel agency in 2001, Saraswati was able to develop her skills in the MICE sector and this had been her preferred area of expertise in the years that followed. She then strengthened her career portfolio with a succession of managerial appointments for branded hotels including Hard Rock Hotel Bali and InterContinental Bali Resort. Her final appointment before moving to The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali was as Managing Director MICE with Smailing Tour where she managed the first opening of Ovation Indonesia, the armed of MCI.

Having spent the past five years as a well-respected Westin associate, Saraswati has an in-depth understanding about the resort’s multi-faceted positioning as a leisure and business product. She has now been tasked to lead the resort’s extensive Sales & Marketing division and navigate the challenges of operating as a leader in today’s highly competitive hospitality sector. By maintaining existing networks, embracing global trends and planning innovative strategies, Saraswati will continue to actively promote the resort and source potential new markets.
